Annual Scholarships

Each year the Hon. Nancy Clark Teed Foundation gives the following scholarships to graduating students at select high schools in Saint John, each worth $1,000. Please see your guidance office for more information.


Hon. Nancy Clark Teed Scholarship

Since the establishment of the Foundation, two scholarships in Mrs. Teed’s name have been awarded to three local high school graduates from Saint John High School, Harbourview High School and Rothesay High School. The scholarship is awarded to an individual in good academic standing, has good citizenship, is involved in extra-curricular activities, demonstrates an interest in politics, has financial need and has been accepted to pursue post-secondary education.

David Arthur Willis Memorial Scholarship

In 2000, the Foundation established the David Arthur Willis Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 in memory of David Willis a 19 year old Saint John youth. David Willis was a close family friend of Mrs. Teed. This scholarship is awarded to a Saint John High School graduate who is involved in the theatrical field and has been accepted to pursue post-secondary education.

Leslie Elizabeth Bruce Scholarship

In 2006 the Foundation also established the Leslie Elizabeth Bruce Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 in memory of Leslie Bruce, who was Nancy’s godchild. This scholarship is awarded to a St. Malachy’s High School graduate who has demonstrated a keen interest in environment issues and has been accepted to pursue post-secondary education.
